In America The early performing arts accomplishments of young Maureen FitzSimons (who we know as Maureen O'Hara) would definitely be in the prodigy child category. This was a natural trait for an Irish-born child surrounded by gifted parents and a loving family. Maureen made her entrance into this caring haven on the 17th of August 1920 located in Ranelagh (a suburb of Dublin), Ireland. Marguerita L. FitzSimons had a successful contralto. Charles FitzSimons owned the Shamrock Rovers soccer team in Ireland, and also ran the Shamrock Rovers soccer club and a Dublin business. Maureen FitzSimons was the child of Charles FitzSimons. Peggy, Florrie Charles B. Fitzsimons Margot Fitzsimons complete this wonderful family. Maureen was an athletic natural and enjoyed playing tough athletic games. This passion was combined with an equally natural gift to perform. She was awarded nearly every Feis Award for Drama and Theatre Performance the country could give. At age fourteen, she was accepted into the Abbey Theater, where her ambition was to study the art of opera and classical theatre.
